Gary R. Parvin

Mr. Parvin began making contributions to his chosen field, even before graduating law school.

While working his way through law school, Mr. Parvin worked for three full years for the Legal Institute of Agricultural and Resource Development, at The University of Mississippi Law School, with the specific project being A Land Tenure Study of Rural Mississippi Land. He was in charge of the project for the last two years, which covered 27 full sections of land in three counties. The land records were microfilmed, abstracted, chained-out, cured without litigation, and placed onto the computers of The University of Mississippi. This placing of rural land titles onto the computer was a first accomplishment of its kind.

After law school graduation, Mr. Parvin evaluated several job offers, including various law firms and a Mississippi Supreme Court clerkship, but decided to begin practice with a law firm in Columbus, Mississippi. After several months there, he decided to open his own firm in his home town of Starkville, Mississippi, where he practiced law continuously from December 1, 1969, to March of 1990. He also taught business law at Mississippi State University from time to time. He began, in April of 1990, to exclusively practice Social Security/Supplemental Security Income Disability at his Rural location, with all cases referred to him.

Since beginning his Social Security/Supplemental Security Income Disability practice, Mr. Parvin has successfully completed over 6000 Social Security disability cases. His office has over 56 years of combined experience handling these claims.
