  • University of Mississippi Law School Social Security Law Update - January 23, 1998 - delivered a presentation on the initial interview, tracing a claim and building the file.
  • Disability Practice Seminar Update On Children’s SSI Practice - November 12, 1998 - delivered a presentation on the ethical obligations of practice under the new rules of conduct for Claimant’s Representatives.
  • At NOSSCR’s request, prepared an article published in the NOSSCR Social Security Forum, Volume 20, Number 12, December 1998, entitled “Do You Really Want To Be A (Documentary) Movie Star?”, in reference to SSA’s handling of children’s SSI claims as reflected in one child’s detailed case.
  • Social Security Law Update - The University Of Mississippi Center for Continuing Legal Education -    March 24, 2000 - delivered a presentation on the appeals process to the Appeals Council and Federal Court.
  • Social Security Disability Law Conference, May 3 - 6,   2000, Orlando, Florida, NOSSCR, Spoke upon “Raise It Or Waive It”: The Future Of Issue Exhaustion, especially in view of counsel’s client’s case, SIMS V. APFEL, heard before the U.S. Supreme Court on March      28, 2000, which was subsequently decided for Sims (June 5, 2000) and canceled the court requirements of raising all issues before the Appeals Council or they are waived or      precluded before the Federal Courts.
  • NMRLS 2000 Elder Law Conference at the University of  Mississippi Law School, August 4, 2000 - presented the Social Security/SSI update.
  • Greenwood Leflore Hospital, August 15, 2000 - Gave in service training to staff on Social Security/SSI Disability and Medicaid related issues.
  • Prairie Opportunity, Starkville, MS,  August 24, 2000 - Gave in service training to staff on Social Security/SSI Disability
  • Central Mississippi, Inc., Winona, MS, August 25, 2000 - Gave in service training to staff on Social Security/SSI Disability
  • Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center, Meridian, MS, September 14, 2000 - In service training to staff on Social Security/SSI Disability
  • Weems Mental Health at Forest, January 18, 2001 - In service training to staff on Social Security/SSI Disability as to how to meet burden of proof on mental cases
  • Early Intervention, Region IV, January 30, 2001 - In service training to staff on Social Security/SSI Disability, particularly on how to meet the burden of proof for children from birth to three years of age
